- History everywhere in the circle of the gate itself: an authentic church and lodgings from the 15th century
- Authentic frescoes in the church
- Museum where the furniture of the royal family Obrenović is located
- Items related to the Second Serbian Uprising that was initiated in the monastery
- Church objects of great historical value
- The grave of the mother of Prince Miloš Obrenović
- The works of Đuro Jakšić, who once stayed in the monastery
The Vraćevšnica Monastery has existed since its founding in the 15th century without an interrupted monastic tradition. It was founded as a men’s monastery, but before the Second World War it became a women’s monastery. The sisterhood, which still lives by the established monastic rules from 1949, remembers and nurtures with great respect the memory of Mother Ana, whom they consider holy. She was the first abbess in a series of newly established women’s orders after the Second World War, and her grave is located in the cemetery in the monastery gate.
The sisterhood of the monastery inherited both a rich history and the duty to continue it in the sacred tradition, so it inherited the great estates of the monastery and the duty to take care of them. The sisters work on their own property and are large and quality food producers.
You can visit the monastery from 7 am to 17 pm every day.
History
The Vraćevšnica Monastery was built by the great leader Radič Postupović on the southern slopes of Rudnik, as his mausoleum. The construction and painting of the temple was completed in 1431, as evidenced by the preserved text of the gift charter of the founder. It states that the great leader Radic, in the days of the pious and Christ-loving despot of the Serbian and Raska lands, built the Church of St. George, and then that it was listed (painted with frescoes) and decorated in 1431.

The suffering to which his mining endowment was exposed during the centuries of its long existence, especially the looting that followed the enemy incursions and destruction
Rebuilt of the monastery
